I am pleased to announce that the ABSP will be changing to the new Collins Official Tournament and Club Word List on 15th May 2007.
This date allows a little over two months from the publication of the book on 5th March to its adoption, while ensuring that all regional qualifying events for this year’s National Scrabble Championship (starting on 20th May) are played to the same dictionary.

SANSPA has decided to start using the new Collins words as soon as possible. Consensus is that they will be effective for the Nationals at the end of April. They may even be adopted sooner.
