The Schools Scrabble Programme :

Lynn Roff and Larry Benjamin conducted a scrabble workshop for teachers at Meadowlands High School on 10th February for teachers from 5 schools in the Meadowland and surrounding areas of Soweto.

The schools involved were

(1) Meadowlands High
(2) Kelokitso
(3) Anchor Comp High
(4) Mokgome Secondary School
(5) Khindimukani

Scrabble set(s) were subsequently given by the Gauteng Education Department (with whom we are working closely with and together planning some major new initiatives for 2007) to the teachers concerned tp take back to their schools and introduce scrabble to their learners.
