The South African National Scrabble Players Association (SANSPA) was formed in 1989.
There is currently a vote under way and it looks like the name of SANPSA will be changed to Scrabble South Africa. This decision will be taken at the SA Nationals on 27/28 April.

Lynn Roff and Larry Benjamin conducted a scrabble workshop for teachers at Meadowlands High School on 10th February for teachers from 5 schools in the Meadowland and surrounding areas of Soweto.
