The first tournament on the Cape Town calendar was a great success, with 26 players competing in one section. The winner was our champion Lanre Oyekunle, who was unbeaten at 8 wins with the impressive margin of +1122! The Schools Scrabble Programme :
Lynn Roff and Larry Benjamin conducted a scrabble workshop for teachers at Meadowlands High School on 10th February for teachers from 5 schools in the Meadowland and surrounding areas of Soweto.
The schools involved were
(1) Meadowlands High
(2) Kelokitso
(3) Anchor Comp High
(4) Mokgome Secondary School
(5) Khindimukani
